Both physical and eGift versions of your Amex Gift Card can be added to a digital wallet for fast, contactless payments at participating merchants. Add Your Card to a Digital Wallet

Apple Pay

1. Open the Wallet App

   On your iPhone or Apple Watch, open the Wallet app. Make sure your device is signed in to your Apple ID and that Apple Pay is supported on your device.

2. Tap the '+' Button

   Tap the + icon in the top-right corner of the Wallet app to begin adding a new card.

3. Follow the On-Screen Instructions

   Select Debit or Credit Card and follow the prompts provided by the Wallet app to proceed.

4. Enter Your Card Details

   Enter your card number manually by typing it in, or use your camera to take a photo of your physical Amex Gift Card to auto-fill the details.

5. Complete Verification

   Follow any remaining on-screen verification steps to finish adding your card. Once added, your Amex Gift Card will appear in your Wallet and be ready for use.

Google Pay

1. Open Google Wallet

   On your Android device, open the Google Wallet app. Make sure you’re signed in to your Google account.

2. Tap 'Add to Wallet'

   On the home screen, tap Add to Wallet to begin the card-adding process.

3. Select 'Payment Card'

   Choose Payment card from the list of options to add your Amex Gift Card as a payment method.

4. Enter Your Card Details

   Type your card number and other details manually, or use your camera to scan your physical card and auto-populate the fields.

5. Verify Your Card

   Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to verify and confirm your card. Your Amex Gift Card will then be available in Google Wallet for contactless payments.

Samsung Pay

1. Open Samsung Wallet

   On your Samsung device, open the Samsung Wallet app (previously known as Samsung Pay). Ensure you’re signed in to your Samsung account.

2. Tap '+' or 'Add Card'

   Tap the + button or Add card option to start adding your Amex Gift Card.

3. Enter Your Card Number

   Type in your card number and required details manually, or use your device’s camera to scan your physical card.

4. Complete Setup

   Follow any remaining prompts to finish the setup. Your Amex Gift Card will be ready for use with Samsung Wallet once the process is complete.

Digital wallet payments work wherever contactless American Express payments are accepted in-store. Look for the contactless or Apple Pay / Google Pay / Samsung Pay symbol at the checkout terminal.

Adding your Amex Gift Card to a digital wallet is a convenient way to pay contactlessly without carrying your physical card. Once set up, simply hold your device near the terminal at checkout and your gift card will be charged just like any other card in your wallet.
